About the position
We are looking for an experienced and friendly Aquatic Spray Technician with a background in herbicide application, a passion for outdoor work and a desire to help preserve Florida ecosystems.
Key responsibilities
- Apply herbicides and aquatic pesticides to control invasive plant species in lakes, ponds and wetlands.
- Operate and maintain spraying equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor treated areas and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate on vegetation-management plans.
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Work outdoors in Florida weather and maintain accurate activity records.
Qualifications
- Previous herbicide-application or aquatic plant-management experience.
- Florida Category 5 pesticide applicator license is highly desirable.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record required.
